Host your wedding or party in the garden at Poulsenseje

At Poulsenseje you can rent our beautiful pole tent with transparent sides and host a wedding or other celebration for up to 150 seated guests. The tent looks out over forest, fields and a lake, and you'll have access to a large part of the old garden, which can be used for a reception, lounge area, outdoor bar or other activities.

The site has easy access for both guests and suppliers, plus a large parking area. This makes Poulsenseje ideal for weddings, confirmations, birthdays and corporate events where you want a beautiful, personal setting surrounded by nature.

Ceremony location

Get married among old oak trees

Just 300 meters from the garden at Poulsenseje lies a beautiful forest of old, gnarled oak trees. By arrangement with a priest or a member of the municipal council, you can hold your ceremony here in an atmospheric setting.

You can rent folding chairs or benches and create a temporary ceremony space in the forest, where family and friends can witness your vows.

Accommodation

Stay overnight in the area

There are several options for you and your guests to stay nearby:

  • About 1 km from Poulsenseje, Løvtag offers six exclusive treehouses, each sleeping four people.
  • If you or your guests wish, you're welcome to pitch a tent in the garden at Poulsenseje.
  • Poulsenseje is located in the middle of a holiday home area where both small and large summer houses can be rented.
  • More accommodation is available in Als, Øster Hurup and Hadsund.

Practical information

Who organizes the party?

You can either rent the venue and handle everything yourselves, or we can help you both plan and run the event.

What kitchen facilities are there?

Next to the party tent is a smaller kitchen/service tent of about 6×6 meters. It has a kitchen counter with a sink, a serving table and two refrigerators. If you need more covered space for food prep and serving, we recommend renting an extra pavilion.

What about water, power and lighting?

Water is supplied via hoses to the service tent and can be used for rinsing and similar tasks. Drinking water must be brought in.

Both the service tent and the party tent have power via cable reels. Atmospheric string lights are installed in the party tent and there's a lamp in the service tent. You can bring or rent additional lighting.

Where do we get food from?

Plenty of catering companies can deliver to the venue. You can find a caterer yourselves, or we can help.

What are the toilet facilities like?

You can rent one or more (luxury) toilet trailers, which can be placed just outside the garden with easy access. You can arrange a supplier yourselves or rent through us.

How do we get music for the party?

You can bring your own sound system, rent one, hire a DJ and/or book a live band. We're happy to give recommendations.

What if the weather is bad?

The tent easily handles normal rain and wind. In case of a storm, we can move the entire event into one of Poulsenseje's 1,500 m² halls.
